I, possibly rather stupidly, took a Brazilian carnivore friend of mine to sample what had been enthusiastically reviewed as “London’s best vegan restaurant” (is there much competition!?). Of course I had not sampled the restaurant myself but given it is more or less around the corner from my flat I thought it was worth a shot. It was! Just to convince myself that vegan food, while good in parts, does not produce a satisfying enough overall experience for anyone who is not vegan.
