I&#8217;m thrilled to say that not only was it great, I actually preferred the texture to couscous done with boiling water. So there.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Serves 1<\/p>\n<p>A handful of couscous<br \/>\n150ml water (or thereabouts)<br \/>\nA few cherry tomatoes, halved<br \/>\n1 chunk of cucumber, roughly chopped<br \/>\n1 red chilli, deseeded and finely chopped<br \/>\nA good handful of mint and coriander, chopped<br \/>\nJuice of half a lemon<br \/>\nOlive oil<br \/>\nSalt and pepper<\/p>\n<p>Stick the couscous in a bowl and pour over the water. Leave for 15 minutes (the couscous, not the room &#8211; it&#8217;s not that coy).<\/p>\n<p>Fluff with a fork then add your other ingredients, seasoning with salt and pepper and olive oil. Devour like a crazed animal.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:bold;\">Banana and blackberry smoothie<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jamesramsden.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/09\/img_0976.jpg\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.jamesramsden.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/09\/img_0976.jpg?w=228\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Makes about a litre<\/p>\n<p>3 bananas<br \/>\nA big ol&#8217; handful of blackberries<br \/>\n150g oats and seeds<br \/>\n1 tablespoon honey<br \/>\n3 tablespoons soy yoghurt<br \/>\n200ml orange juice<br \/>\nDried berries &#8211; raisins, cranberries, woteva<\/p>\n<p>Stick everything but the dried berries in a blender and, you know, blend.
